Rotterdamsche Confituur is a social enterprise where delicious jams are made in the Afrikaander district. Young people with a disa...bility and with a distance to the labor market are working with us. Our aim is to put a traditional product on the market with the help of a vulnerable group. The jam is made according to traditional methods with organic ingredients if possible and without artificial additives. By offering these young people a job, we give them the ability to learn different skills. They learn the different business processes and are encouraged to work together in a business environment. We work together with schools and volunteers from the neighborhood.
Take a look behind the scenes and see and experience what the volunteers weekly do. About 200 volunteers, ensure that around 2000 families in Rotterdam are provided with a food package. Without sponsorship, the Food Bank can not exist. Sponsorship may take the form of a financial contribution for operating costs or in the form of long-lasting food products such as rice and pasta.
